What small DFW things will you do w/c 5th November?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important! :money:

Morning all
Thanks for starting the thread right at the beginning of today Ally :rotfl:
Up early (though not as early as Ally) and so far I have done the following:
Load of washing in machine
Updated freezer and larder inventories (not as organised as it sounds, as I am sure I forget some things!)
Got rhubarb out of freezer to cook for breakfast fruit, pesto out for dinner and the rest of a bag of coffee to top up the coffee jar
Breakfast was porridge, half a pear from the fridge and some yogurt
Ordered meat special offers from butcher
Added some items to my shopping list (exciting items like loo paper :rotfl:). I don't think I need to go shopping today though - will continue to work on list
Admired my mini quince tree with its golden autumn foliage, which I can see from where I am sitting :heartsmil Who says you can't have autumn colours if you only have a little garden?
Still to do:
Check banks and update spreadsheet Done
Work this morning - I usually restock my sales unit on Monday mornings. It is all loaded in the car and ready to go Done
Washng to go out on line when done, and another load put in Done, first load is finishing off on the airer now
Sort fridge out Still to do
Clean kitchen floor Done :A
Do a bit in the garden later Not done
Chicken pesto pasta for dinner - not sure if that is really a thing or if I have imagined it, but that is what we are having :rotfl:Done, it was nice, I would make it again
Did some surveys
RM surveys tasks
Put returned sales stock away, and did a fair amount of general tidying up (always plenty of that to do here )
Not a NSD as OH went to the chiropractor today, and had to pay for that.
Happy Monday everyone0 -

Morning folks!
Thanks to Ally for starting us off
Have ventured down the slippery slope today of "arguing with someone on Facebook". I can mostly ignore the idiotic comments of the general populace, but when presented with a vegetarian/vegan telling me that we are grass eaters like sheep, I cannot hold back my sword-hand's anger.
I have no issue with being veggie or vegan, but we def should not be eating grass. It's a sure-fire way to remove all the enamel off your teeth.
Anyway - must stop looking at Facebook for an argument.
Today's mission:- B/L/D from stores
- Charge phone in work - done
- Gym at lunchtime - done. Despite my vertigo kicking off just before I went!
- Heating off - it's pretty mild
- OH to pick up new second-hand breadmaker. Ours has died. Only £35 from FB market and the lady has barely used it. - done
- Poss cast on sock if can be bothered
- Turns out that my health insurance are now doing free Amazon prime if you get enough points per month. Mentioned this to a colleague and they are going to give me their fitbit for free
- No alcohol
- No sugary stuff
Have a good one all

Morning all,
Thanks Ally for this weeks thread.
Nat, I hope you are feeling better.
 to all
I've ditched the gym this morning as my gym buddy wasn't able to go and my anxiety had kicked in, its really daft, everyone there is lovely but I'm a very big girl and the thought of having to maybe pair up with anyone else in the class filled me with dread. :(
So anyway I'm home for longer so better get on and be productive.
Todays list
* wash ds2s bedding and hang on the line (can someone switch a bit of a breeze on for me please??!)
* make a new recipe butternut squash soup in the slow cooker using the stock I made yesterday
* leftovers for tea tonight
* make families lunches for tomorrow
* wash another load on the quick 30 degree wash
* run the dishwasher on the quick wash
* hoover just where needs doing
* check banking/update spreadsheet & record mileage
* remind dh to print off the gift voucher given to him for his birthday by his employer as he's had it a couple of weeks now and not done it
* flylady
* iron a couple of bits that have been washed over the last few days
* sort through the front room as ds2 has lost his guitar pick and I'd rather not have to pay for more!
Thats my starter, hopefully I'll be back to add more as the day goes on.
Have a good week allSticking with the "Small things" thread to keep up us on the straight and narrow.

I'm inclined to agree. There's no toxins in grass...but, as you say, the silica would grind down the teeth. More than that though, we've only the one stomach.Debt-free day: 8th May 2015 The Joy Account: £10 "Remember that sometimes not getting what you want is a wonderful stroke of luck," Dalai Llama0
