Training Costs

Hi I would like some advice on my employer trying to claim training costs for 5 courses. I had signed a contract to say that if I left within 12 months I would pay 100% and 13-24 50%. After failed discussions asking if I could pay Back 25% as I was in my last 6 months.
I have now read the contract and realised that 1 course was completed outside of the dates specified on the contract by about a month before and the course at the end of the month the contract end date is the 1st day, adding to this I have only been charged accommodation for the 1 night out of 4 for my last course also.
What recourse would I have to negotiate with my employer to adjust the 50% I have to pay based on the dates and costs being incorrect?
Thank you for your advice

Point out that what they are proposing to charge you is at odds with the contract and be absolutely specific about dates etc so they have no wriggle room if you are right and they are wrong. Keep any emotion out of it - it won't help get you to a speedy conclusion.0
