Bank account, non bankrupt husband 10th Nov 17 at 1:23 PM
    Hi all,
i went BR on the 26th oct, i had sorted out myself a new account and also my husband opened himself another natwest account as we had a joint one (i never used it)
they have closed the joint one as expected but yesterday they closed/froze my husbands other accounts. they have since given him back access but have advised him to open a new account away from natwest as the joint account had a 500 overdraft on it and they will persue him for the full amount back with no payment plan option.
they have told him this takes 10days. he has applied online for hsbc but isnt sure if its the billy basic account and that has gone off fo review. i presume because he is in payment arrangement with 2 cc companies
my questions are, how likely are hsbc to accept it? is it worth trying another bank if so who is the quickest as he gets paid weekly so we cant hang about.
the plan is that next week he gets salary paid into mine and i email my OR on monday to let him know. is this acceptable?
