  • Cause I'm a share fisherman I only have some clothing/ work clothes expenses phone use of office and a few other small things. Doesn't amount up to much

    The simplest ways to save tax are to make pension contributions and to make sure you use Gift Aid (and keep track of the amounts) when donating to charity.

    Both of these effectively increase your 20% band, so mean you pass less tax at 40%. For Gift Aid, you can do this for contributions to charity shops as well as any one off or regular payments to charity.
