I am currently on a DMP with Wescot, I have however requested a CCA however the reply received is that I should write to CCA Request s Card customer Services ..... shouldnt the Wescot who own the debt have to provide the actual CCA? Could someone advise if that is the case?

Wescot don't own your debt.
They only manage clients accounts.
Under the terms of the consumer credit act, if a debt collector is managing your account, the responsibility is theirs to pass your request to the original creditor.
Did you send a compliant request inc the statutory £1 payment ?
Either write back stating it's there responsibility or to save time, send it to the original creditor.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Yes sent the £1 they returned my CCA request together with the letter I sent them. Wescot are the only ones I have ever dealt with. Guess as they manage the account it is their responsibility to comply (I am totally unsure who this CCA requests Card Customer Services company is either! as I never dealt with them)0
