Wow peteuk that's amazing! You rock!

Thanks Turningacorner, last years walk was amazing but all I did was raise the money and do the walk. The charity took care of the rest (route, accommodation, food and support) It was over three day so it wasn't too bad. I did discover walking for fun again, and walked some of the Cornish coast as preparation.

The cycle ride I am organising everything so it's a bit more of a challenge.

If I am still in the UK in 2017 I am looking at redoing the walk, as it was such a great event, or even doing a continuous 100K walk. we will see.

I am a huge recycling everything fan. I reuse just about anything and everything so have become an addict at recycling.

I am good at looking after my hens and when I get new rescue hens I spoil them rotten and feed them treat food like sweetcorn that they have never ever tasted before. I give them nice clean soil to dust bathe in and plenty of fresh water to drink. So I would say I am good at it.

    Hope that all counts x

Great to see you being so positive! :)
  • Fab to see so many of you looking at the positives you are all amazing people. Yes we have debt but let's not let that define us :)
  • Aw, what a sweet thread idea! :)

I'm good at reading and writing ;) I also claim to have the best taste in films, since I have a BA in Film Studies. I think I'm kind and generous... I get great satisfaction from sponsoring a little girl in Senegal. I'm a good cook and bake tasty cakes, too.

Im good at turning negatives it to positives

    Helping out family whenever possible

Oh and I do stop at the bus stop, when I spot one of my elderly neighbours and give them a free lift into town
People are caught up in an egotistic artificial rat race to display a false image to society. We want the biggest house, fanciest car, and we don't mind paying the sky high mortgage to put up that show. We sacrifice our biggest assets our health and time, We feel happy when we see people look up to us and see how successful we are”

I think I used to be quite a good English teacher before I retired. At least I tried to get my students the highest possible grades of which they were capable and make them feel happy, confident and well informed in class. I made them work hard but always marked their worked quickly and properly.

Now I think I make pretty good cakes! I look after my family and I clean and maintain my house and garden. I remember people's birthdays and try to be as nice and supportive as I can (perhaps I don't always manage it as I am not Mother Teresa but a mere human being!)

I am also good at being prudent and unwasteful and am an effective saver of money - and the planet as a by-product.

I am quite funny. At least, I think so.
