2.4. All entries must be received by midnight on Saturday, March 21, 2015.
2.5 The winners will be contacted within seven days of the closing date of the prize draw. Should the Promoter be unable to contact a winner or should a winner be unable to accept their prize, the Promoter reserves the right to award that prize to an alternative winner, drawn in accordance with these terms and conditions.
2.6 Events may occur that render the prize draw itself or the awarding of any part or all of the prize impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly, the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
2.7 The Promoter has sole responsibility for the publication, administration and adjudication of the prize draw.
3. PRIZES
First Prize
3.1. The winning entrant will win a 10 night holiday to Brisbane and Cairns, Queensland, Australia. The prize comprises the following for each of two people:
Brisbane
• Economy-class flights from the UK to Brisbane;
• Car hire;
• Five nights 5-star accommodation in a centrally located hotel in Brisbane, based on two people sharing a twin or double room on a room-only basis;
• Sightseeing tour of Brisbane;
• Whale watching cruise and Surfer Paradise day trip;
• Champagne hot air balloon ride;
• Gold Coast beaches and Mount Tambourine tour;
• Transfers;
• Economy class flight from Brisbane to Cairns.
Cairns
• Car hire;
• Five nights five-star accommodation in a centrally located hotel in Cairns, based on two people sharing a twin or double room on a room-only basis;
• Aboriginal Cultural Tjapukai by Night Tour, including buffet dinner;
• Low Isles Great Barrier Reef sailing cruise;
• Skyrail Rainforest Cableway trip;
• Four Parks pass
3.2 For car hire in both Brisbane and Cairns, the named driver must be aged 25 years or older and hold a full, current and clean driving licence. The driver must have held the licence for a minimum of two years. Car hire includes unlimited mileage, loss damage waiver, airport fees and third-party damage insurance. A valid credit card will be required with a minimum available spend of £500 for a security deposit refundable on safe return of the vehicle.
3.3 The prize does not include travel between the winner’s home and the airport, travel insurance, food and drink, personal expenditure or incidental costs, other than where mentioned. Compliance with any health or other government requirements is the responsibility of the prize winner and their companion.
3.4 The prize is valid for travel for 12 months from the date of the winner being notified and excludes Easter, Christmas and New Years, and bank holidays and school holidays in both the UK and Australia. It is the responsibility of the prizewinner to ensure they and their travel companion each has a valid passport and travel insurance and obtain any necessary vaccinations and visas for their trip.
3.5 The winner and their companion must travel together and take all elements of the prize in one package. All elements of the prize are subject to availability, non transferable and there are no cash alternatives.
3.6. The winner and their companion may be required to participate in publicity.
Runners-up
3.7
Five runners-up will each receive an Australian hamper comprising:
• One 75cl bottle of Australian dry white wine;
• One 220g jar of Kraft Vegemite;
• One 4-pack of 375ml bottles of Bundaberg Ginger Beer; and
• One 375ml bottle of ETA Original Australian Barbecue Sauce.
3.8 The prize as described is available on the date of publication. Should any part of the prize become unavailable, a substitute of equal value will be provided.
3.9 Provision of all prizes is the responsibility of NDL Group.
