Selling a property and making a settlement figure to debtors

Hi
I just wanted to ask for some advice.
We're selling our property to free up some money, as we have several debts for which we are currently paying a token payment per month on (£1 per month as advised by CCCS).
Question is have anybody had any joy of making a 50% settlement figure to their debtors. If we sell our property, we will be able to pay exactly half of what we owe to our debtors in a lump sum.
We're also looking for extra work, ebaying stuff, budgeting, etc etc and would like to be able to pay off all our debts, but if they could accept 50% that would be fantastic.
Thanks
