hi,
i am currently on a dmp but it seems likely i will have to go bankcrupt. i recently moved out of my parents home into a rented flat,and transfered all my debts to my new address, i am worried though ,that if i go bankcrupt or there is need for baliffs to call , would they thake my parents possesions , i was told somewhere that you have to proove the items arent yours. infact none of it is mine but my parents dont have reciepts after 20 or thirty years.!!
the only reason i ask this is because my debts were originally at their address.
also i havent yet taken my name off the register at their address.

If you have notified your creditors and are contactable at your new address there is no reason for anyone to call at your parents house.
Contact your Coucil to have your name added to the Electoral Register at your new address so that searches won't show you as living with your parents.
Good luck if you decide to go the BR route.Money won't buy you happiness

Even if you were still living at your parent's address no-one would come to the house to search it!0
