    She will not have been the first person to state this and retract it later. Its probably part of the training program for the staff!

    If she calls up with the reasons you have already mentioned then there should not be a problem.

    The birth certificate would be left empty i assume like single mothers do.

  • Good advice above that she should simply retract it explaining that she was struck with panic when the matter of the father came up and she acted with her heart and not her head. Now that she is calm, she sees it was daft and that she sincerely wants to make sure everything is in order but that she and her child remain protected from any potential detrimental actions by the father as a result of providing this information.

    There is a section on the IS form that provides for parents who are in fear of their person from the absent partner and neither her address nor contact details etc will ever be provided to the father.

    If IS are made aware that involving the CSA is likely to incite hostile reaction from the absent parent, they normally do not request intervention.
