Debt, Dust & Fat Busting

:hello:
I'm a returning DFW, my first light bulb moment was Oct 05, with the help of DFW I did really well for a year and cleared all CC debt and was just left with a loan, I decided to take a bit of a break and despite a few more LB moments over the years I didn't really get going again!
Me...I'm 40; married, work full time with two DD's and our household is made up with dogs, hamsters, ducks & chickens. I enjoy some crafts and I do a small amount of voluntary work for a debt charity.
The reason starting a diary now is I’ve decided to retrain and go to uni, my eldest DD will also be off to uni next year & my husband has been told he faces possible redundancy in 2011. DH has been applying for other jobs and he's got interviews, but not been offered anything, he sent his CV off today for a vacancy though, so fingers crossed. I really need to spend the next year paying off as much debt as I can and not get distracted by bargains, shoes or gadgets I never knew I needed until I spot them in a Lakeland brochure
I'm signing up for an OU course K101 Health and Social Care starting Oct, that will give me enough points hopefully to start uni in Oct 2010. I'm hoping to do Occupational Therapy so this is where the fat busting comes in, there is no way I would even consider signing up the way I look now especially for a health related course and I really want to feel confident meeting new people etc. I have 8 stone to lose, but I intend to lose it slowly, so to begin with I’m just cutting out all snacks, I’ll progress and improve my diet as I go along.
Dust busting has been a long challenge already, but i've finally got the house straight and I’m able to keep on top of it ok as long as I can keep motivated. Starting OU on top of working full time I just want to make sure I don't let it go again.
A biggy that is really scaring me is I need to start driving, I passed my test 15 years ago, but despite refreshers I have never had the confidence to drive, if I want to go to uni I have to get over this.
So that’s it really, I’m excited and nervous at the same time, but I have a goal, so I’m hoping I can focus and its going to be a good year. The fat busting starts tomorrow and I need dig our debt figures out and set myself some challenges :T

Back to work today after 2 weeks off and my first day fat busting and its not been too bad, got up and forgot I was being good until I was half way through my breakfast and nearly picked some Chocolate up on auto pilot lunch time, but I haven't snacked at all between meals so very pleased.
This weeks challenge.....to make myself a sandwich for work every morning so I eat properly and be in bed before midnight as 2-3am has become the norm.
Spending is aaargh though, DD passed her driving test :T tax and insurance for her car came to £1500, we have most if it already, but some will have to go on the CC as it had gone up from our last quote, I need to work out our money tomorrow to get the money transferred from savings and see how much its short.0
