Argos Xbox offer - Vapourware??

In today's News of the World there is an xbox offer of X-box, additional controller and 4 games (Halo, Splinter Cell, Sonic Heroes and Midtown Madness 3) for £129.99 saving £85
Just checked my local availability at 4 stores within a 30 mile raduis and no-one has any stock. Tried to order online but the deal doesn't seem available online as price comes out as nearly £170. Phoned the telephone order number on the website and they don't have any in stock either!!! The woman on the phone suggested I called back in 7 days to check the stock level >:(
How can Argos get away with advertising something that you can't actually buy ???

I suggest you write a formal complaint to them about the time you've wasted. You may get some vouchers as compensation.You don't get medals for sitting in the trenches.0

I haven't seen The News of the World advert, but I have checked and Argos do not even list Mid Town Madness on their site, but all the other games are in stock at certain stores I have tried.

UPDATE: I decided to go to my local argos in the hope that they may tell me where it was in stock. Anyway I checked availability while instore and they had all the items in stock despite the website saying none!
Took the offer from the paper to the counter and they had to get the manager over to sort it all out as the price on the till was still showing nearly £170. The manager called head office who told him to override the prices.... I am now in possession of the deal above for £129.99 and very happy!

Be like my bargain I got but a genuine offer. Just ahd to point it out to them a couple of times.
