I am getting a lot of emails for sex sites and when I look at the email address they come from it is my own, how can they send me an email using my own address. It also makes it impossible to block it.
I do it just for fun and whatever I win is a bonus

Change you email password asap and run your Anti virus. There is a chance your whole contact list will have been sent the same sex site message from your email.#JusticeForGrenfell0

They can also "spoof it" without accessing your account, seems to be more of a problem with Outlook/Hotmail these days (as suggested always change password and run a scan to be on the safe side).
If it is O/H then in your account under security there is an option to see your recent activity - the most recent unsuccessful attempts to access one of my accounts originated in France, Slovakia and 100s of miles away in the UK.
O/H also had a problem recently where it said it couldn't block an e-mail address because it wasn't valid despite an e-mail coming from it but that seems to be fixed or the e-mails are no longer being sent.0 -
