hiya holly
im sure duck down can be easily machine washed or dry cleaned, just make sure they are properly dried and aired if you wet wash,
if its not really too bad, a wipe over with a damp cloth a good airing and a vaccume, could be all thats needed.

It is not so tough task to clean and wash the duvet/quilts. But proper attention required to wash/clean the duvets.
If you want wash/clean then you need a soft brush and stain remover to clean the quilt. A large washing machine is needed for washing the duvet.
After washing the duvet dry it in the sun afterward.

I always put it in the laundrette. Ruined a very expensive one by washing and if you don't dry it quickly all the feathers go rotten and stink. Even in the sun I just couldn't get it to dry properly. £12 at my local laundrette so opt for that. couldn't take the risk myself againWe are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars

I always wash mine in the machine (although i do have quite a large drum), put outside to dry weather permitting or hang over the bannisters then finish them off in the tumble drier to make sure they're properly dry and flufffed up.
They come out a treat, but finishing off in the tumble dryer is the key.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Mine survive regular washing at sixty and ninety-five degrees but as Peachyprice said, the tumble dryer is vital.:)0
