This may not be news to many of you here but http://www.freecycle.org/ offers waysto get free (used) stuff from people who no longer need it. what you get is saved money and cleaner environment since since the items you get or offer to others don't end up in landfills and used longer.

i used it and highly recommend it. visit their site for more details.

    It's not just the U.S., click on the International section, then United Kingdom and then click on the nearest area to you.

    There isn't much information on the home page but I like the principal so I have applied to join, however the joing process is very faffy & I still have to get approved for membership :o
