E: 22/09 Win your hero Drawn To Life & other fab prizes (kids, effort)

10 Regional winners will be picked by our special Drawn to Life judging panel. Each Regional winner will see their 'Your Hero' Drawing published on an outdoor poster site near where they live, and will win:-
  • £750 pounds of art equipment for their school
  • Copies of the videogame 'Drawn To Life : The Next Chapter' on both Nintendo DS and Wii

A Celebrity Judge will pick the overall National winner, who will in addition win:
  • A Nintendo DSi and a Wii console with the winning 'Your Hero' drawing on it
  • £500 pounds of Craftworld vouchers

    Competition Terms & Conditions
    1. The promoter of this competition is THQ (UK) Limited of Duke's Court, Duke Street, Woking Surrey, GU21 5BH (THQ).
    2. The competition is only open to UK residents. Entries received from people residing outside the UK will be disregarded. Employees of THQ and its associated companies, their families and anyone professionally associated with THQ and its associated companies are not eligible to enter this competition.
    3. The competition will close at 12.00 GMT on Tuesday 22nd September 2009. No entries submitted after this time will be accepted.
    4. The competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
    5. Entrants must be aged 16 or under to enter.
    6. To enter the competition, go to https://www.drawyourhero.com (the Website), and use the interactive drawing tool to create and submit a personalised ‘Your Hero’ character (Drawing) for voting by users of the Website.
    7. Upon submission of a Drawing, the entrant will be asked to provide the following information to register on the Website:- Name*, Age*, Email address*, Password*, chosen Screen Name*, Parent’s Email Address (if you are under 14)*, Region*, a description of ‘Why My Hero?’*, and School Class Shortcode if entering as part of a school entry. Upon registration the entrant’s account will be activated and the Drawing posted to the Website for the Website moderator’s (Moderator) approval. The Moderator can for any reason decide not to enter a Drawing into the competition. The Moderator’s decision is final. Once accepted by the Moderator, the Drawing will be displayed on the Website for public viewing and competition voting by users of the Website.
    8. If the entrant is under 14 years of age, upon submission of information to register to enter the competition the Website will send a seperate email to the given Parent’s Email Address explaining what the competition is and what the data will be used for. The parent or guardian will be asked to approve the entry into the competition, once approved the entrant’s account will be activated and the Drawing posted to the Website for the Moderator’s approval. The Moderator can for any reason decide not to enter the Drawing into the competition. The Moderator’s decision is final. Once accepted by the Moderator, the Drawing will be displayed on the Website for public viewing and competition voting by users of the Website. If no parental approval is received the account will not be created nor the Drawing be posted to the Website.
    9. An entrant may at any time request that his or her Drawing is removed from the Website and by contacting THQ’s webmaster directly at UKwebmaster@thq.com.
    10. Entrants may make multiple submissions to the competition.
    11. Competition entrants will be grouped by their geographical location within one of the following UK regions; London, South East, South West, Central, Yorks / Humber, North West, North East, Scotland, Wales, and N.Ireland (the Regions).
    12. The top 5 Drawings, as voted for by users of the Website, from each Region will be judged by a THQ panel and an overall winner for each Region will be chosen based on imagination and originality. In the event that two or more entrants in a Region have an equal number of votes the tie breaker question “Why My Hero?” which entrants are required to complete on entry into the competition will be considered by the judging panel in determining the top 5 Drawings for that Region. Only 1 Drawing from each Region will be chosen as the overall Region winner. The judging panel’s decision shall be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
    13. The Region winners will be notified on Wednesday 23rd September 2009 and each winner will need to reply by email to THQ to accept their prizes and no later than 24.00 GMT on Tuesday 29th September 2009. If a Region winner fails to claim their prizes by 24.00 GMT on Tuesday 29th September, THQ reserves the right to offer the prizes to the first runner-up in that Region as judged by the panel.
    14. The Region winners will be announced on Monday 5th October 2009 by THQ posting their screen names on the Website.
    15. Each of the Region winners will receive the prizes as advertised on the Website and will be entered into the national final of the competition (National Final). Entrants will need to obtain a parent or guardian's permission in order to claim their prizes.
    16. The National Final will be held in London (at a place and date to be advised – likely late October/early November 2009) where the Drawings of each of the 10 Region winners will be judged and a national winner will be chosen by Konnie Huq. Each Region winner must be accompanied to the National Final by a guardian. THQ will upon production of valid receipts, and up to a maximum amount of £200.00 per Region winner and accompanying guardian, reimburse reasonable travel costs between the Region winner’s home address and the location of the National Final.
    17. By submitting a Drawing into the competition the entrant agrees to grant, assign and transfer to THQ all rights in the copyright in any Drawing submitted to the Website, and the entrant agrees to waive any rights to ownership / rights over the same. By entering the competition, an entrant agrees and acknowledges that the Drawing and screen name submitted to the Website may be used or reproduced in whole in or in part by THQ in connection with any promotional marketing in the UK relating to this competition and or THQ’s video game Drawn to Life : The Next Chapter. Competition winners may be requested by THQ to take part in additional publicity resulting from or relating to this competition.
    18. THQ accepts no responsibility for late, lost, delayed, corrupted, or incomplete entries to this competition, or for any transmission and/or computer errors affecting the logging of entries to this competition, or for any unavailability of the Website.
    19. Prizes will be dispatched to winners within 28 days of the winner claiming their prize. THQ accepts no liability if a prize is damaged, lost or remains undelivered. The prizes are as stated and are non-transferable. There will be no cash alternative to the prizes. If a prize becomes unavailable or difficult to obtain for any reason, THQ reserves the right to replace it with one of at least equal value. Prizes are subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant manufacturer or supplier and all product warranties, guarantees or other representations in relation to a prize are as provided by the manufacturer or supplier of that prize. THQ accepts no liability for any non-compatibility of a prize with any other product or service.
    20. Entering this competition constitutes acceptance in full of these terms and conditions.
    21. By entering into the competition, an entrant’s personal details will be used by THQ solely for the purpose of administering the competition. All information will be held in accordance with THQ's Privacy Policy (see http://www.thq.com/uk/pages/privacy ). It is important to THQ that entrant’s can enjoy the competition and the Website in a responsible fashion. THQ, therefore, encourage entrant’s to consult with their parents or guardians before providing the requested personal information and require that entrants who are under 14 years of age get parental consent before entering the competition.
