Try these - they support ID3 tags.
I got an earlier USB1.1 version and it's pretty good value.

Hows £20 + del (£2.34) strike you? 256mb ccl
Price actually gets worse per unit if you buy more than 5!

There are some reasonable priced ones on aria.co.uk. I bought one of their own brand 256 MB MP3 players and I am chuffed to bits with it for the price. The sound quality is excellent, even with the supplied headphones, it plays wma and mp3 files and I also use it as a USB stick to carry files around. the battery seems to last quite well too. It displays the song title and artist and is easy to use, small and very light. It also has a rubber casing so it feels quite robust. have fun looking!0

Play.com's 128mb for £14.99 inc delivery takes some beating for a player for the kids. Ok below your 256mb request, but worth pointing out just in case - holds around 40-50 songs, probably a loss leader for themam I missing something ??0

Hi,
I got a 512MB one from aria (product code MP3-ARIA-512) a few weeks ago - it's even cheaper now @ 25.79 inc. VAT.
Nothing too fancy, but sound is great, battery life is excellent and it stores loads of songs (esp. if using wma, variable bit rates).
