    your flippant response, especially about something that hasn't been posted for so long (meaning that a huge portion of of MSE users would have never seen it or may have missed it the first time) is exactly the type of comment that puts new users off being helpful!

    was that really necessary? i can understand if something has been posted a few times recently, saying something NICELY but honestly this is just being petty and rude!

    i'd like to think that we are all adults here that can be mature and helpful, if you've nothing better to do then go ahead and make your merge request but please keep the cold comments to yourself

    i for one was quite happy to see this myself as i'm sure others were too, even those that saw it 2 years ago might enjoy having their memories refreshed... we all have things to contribute, please, let people feel it's worth the effort!

    As per the guide to the freebies board a merge request has been sent and noted so that the BG's don't get lots of identical pm's... thats how the board runs... :confused:

    ahh i thought this was the same one as before however i do stand by what i said because so many people here are soooo rude to newcomers and it's really uncalled for

    today i've seen a few comments from sarah (somthing or other) that have nicely pointed out that if one checks the url vs just the name of the page/product they can avoid duplicates, both of her posts to 2 different people about HOW to keep from making duplicates were polite and helpful, the comments about 'this was posted 2 years ago' were not
