Yes, but you're better off freezing it chopped to go into soups, stews etc as if you freeze the leaves they'll just end up really soggy when you defrost them (the chopped stuff will be a bit soggy too, but if you're just throwing it in/on stuff then it won't be noticeable).
Or, if you've got the other bits you'll need, you can make pesto and freeze it.0 -
Next time you need to buy basil, try to get it in a pot, it'll last for ages on a windowsill.0

I freeze it loose on a plate then put it in a bag. It normally doesn't stick together anyway, or it it does a quick whack on the counter sorts it out.0

Try chopping it and putting in ice cube tray with water, freeze and the just add a cube to what ever your cooking tht requires it.

I do this quite often - they're great for chucking soups or sauces. Just don't forget and put them in you G 'n' T!:DGC May £178/£250 NSD0
