Hi all,
Because of my recent serparation from my XOH, I have a chance to become debt free:j :j :j (sad way for it to happen I know)
but I was wondering if I should attempt to negotiate F&F's myself or allow CCCS to do it for me?
My Debt stands at approx £44k and I have £16k and I would like to TRY and get it all gone with that amount....
Any suggestions/advice/experience greatly appreciated.:o

Oooo Good news about possibly becoming debt free :j (shame about circumstances).
This might be of use:

I would be tempted to try it alone first.

Thanks Amy,
That's a big help-I was tempted to go it alone because I want to get it as low as possible.
This money is all that I have from the settlement so would like to have *maybe* a bit left over to start saving for a mortgage with! (a girl has to dream eh?)Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
No problem. That link helped me do mine.
Of course a girl can dream, however they could turn real, you never know!
Good luck, and keep us posted.

Just been looking at your thread about full and final settlements. Looking at the amount you have on your debts and the amount you could offer you could consider doing something called a Lump sum IVA. Obviously I don’t have all your details in front of me so may not be applicable but it is something to consider. If you would like to see if this is an option, call client support for a review and they can go into more details for you. If don’t want to go ahead with the IVA or you are not eligible we can give you all the sample letters you need to offer full and finals.
Good luck with whatever option you choose and if you need any other information give me a shout.

Thanks again Sarah,
Just did a bit of reading re. LS IVA and it may be an option.
I wonder what the advantages are for that versus just doing my own F&F's?Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0
