TBH, I'm a bit suspicious about his pig headedness. It certainly appears that he's doing everything possible to prevent you seeing it and not coming up with valid reasons why he can't get one. If one were a bit paranoid, one could be forgiven for thinking that he's got a lot more to hide than the debts he claims he has.
