So here's an update....

Hey all,

As you knoe Monday was the big day for me and it all went relatively smoothly apart from the extra cash I had to splash on court fees... (BF was a godsend:o ) So Ispoke to the OR and his clerk on Tuesday and they seem decent enough, he asked me a few questions and said he was waiting for my file but would ring me Wednesday- no call. Went to work today and he called my mobile twice... I rang back and apologised and told him that I was at work and not avoiding him which he said good as it was my bankruptcy and he was getting peeved as I wasn't answering the phone...( I work in an independent shop which is always super busy so we cant have our mobiles on the shop floor..) Anyway he asked me a few questions and told me my interview is next Friday at 1.30 and get this it's FACE TO FACE!!!! Something to do with my divorce in 2004 although I walked away with £15k debt from that one and a really horrid surname....:rotfl:

Anyway I gots to thinking and well I don't have a full on english accent as I grew up in South Africa- I wonder if he thinks I may be wheeling and dealing accross continents or something....God knows but in a sense I'm relieved I'm going to meet him in person but I'm also nervous as I know most have a telephone interview....

What do you guys think??!!!

Seems a bit off to be stroppy because you can't use your mobile at work, and he didn't call when he said he would :( Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much about it being face to face - maybe they just want to ask more indepth questions that is easier when talking to you rather than being on the phone. Hope it goes well for you Tiger.

Yeah seems a bit of a !!!!!! that you didn't answer the phone, there's a lot of jobs that don't allow you to take calls, you think he'd be well used to that.

I had a face to face interview too and was bricking it wondering why I'd been chosen for that. In the end my OR really put me at ease, and I'm glad I had the face to face now as I don't think I'd have been so at ease if I'd have had a phon interview

I wouldnt worry too much - and to be honest if it's with this guy you've got the face to face interview, it's probably best as on the phone it'd probably be more difficult.

I know I had my OR person call me up the Monday after the Friday I went BR mid-morning, and asked if I could have my i/view on the phone that afternoon!!

I said 'well I cant really as I'm a. at work and b. I havent got any of my paperwork with me' - thankfully she understood ... but my i/view was the following afternoon (I think!).

It does make you wonder if the OR actually realise that you are working to try and earn money - or they think you can just drop things!

I know, he seems ok but was a bit up himself and kind of said Im that busy that you'll have to fit in with me rather than me fit in with you...so Im missing a day off work ( I only work part time) next week to attend this as I haven't really got a choice!!! He was pleasant but I guess assertive????

Yeah, I think face to face will be better for me too as I like to see how people behave and will be able to get a feel for how Im going to get on where as with a phone call there is always preconceptions... So face to face is ok, just dont want to talk about the worst two years of my entire life!!!

Thanks all, just wish it hadn't fallen on friday the 13th (whoooooo!!) Oh dear, hope he's in a good mood :p

I feel really down today, really sad and like I've lost something. This for me is about coming to terms with a lot of sh*tty coping behaviour I have put into place regarding dealing with lifes little traumas. I eat too much crap and don't look after myself which I will have to now:huh: and I used to shop to make syself feel better about things!! No more shopping unless needed and no more crappy food but a lot of work to do on the behaviours I guess!!

    Hi

If this guy is seemed decent enough on Monday and is a bit off on the phone, then maybe it is better to have a face to face interview? He seems to operate better face to to face rather than on the phone?
