I'v just telephoned the court, well rung the wrong one to start with but eventually got to the right one. Spoke to a very nice man who really tried to reassure me it would be ok, he's sending me a pack out that has everything I need to fill in and what to do in it. They don't have a support unit at this court unfortunally but he said if I can get some one to go with me they do have a reasturant where they can wait.
I'm shaking now I've made the call but I know in my heart it's the right thing to do for me, I really don't have a choice at this time. Just wondering now how many more people I know are going to drop me when they find out I'm going bankrupt, I lost a few when I had my breakdown and it's never the ones you think.

I Agree .. there are a couple of people I don;t see now, not too bothered though as better off now than I ever was.... but most of my friends are still there.. a couple of them were the ones who finally persuaded me to go BR

Going to BR is not a bad thing , you should not worry what people think or who drop you .A true friend will not look you down and also you only find the best direction and the best option for you.

In terms of bankrupcy...its a private matter & unlikely anyone will find out anyway....
That is unless you`re some famous celebrity, film star etc...in which case it will be pasted all over the Sunday papers , Hello, Ok mags etc,etc!! ...soo glad I`m not famous!!!

Thank you everyone for the support and giving me confidence, it’s really appreciated.
Tonight I’ve took the Second Step and confided in my cousin. After an initial silence and me having to go over stuff and explain that No I didn’t want to spend the rest of my life paying small amounts and having the stress of continual being chased for the debt. She has been brilliant and has agreed to come to the court with me. So now I’ve got a kind of time frame. She won’t have any spare time to go with me till she finishes work when the schools break up, so I’m looking at July when I need to get my money ready for. Bit worried about keeping my creditors at bay during this time and hoping none of them will CCJ me before I can go bankrupt. Hopefully I will get my forms from the courts next week so I can start trying to see what I need to do. Hopefully it will also tell me if I need to book a time or if I just turn up, not sure how these things work. I managed to keep the creditors at bay for 6 months with 'few' problems (lots of calls and letters but nothing more) just as they started to threaten the nasty stuff, i went BR so you should be fine.The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter0
