How far i've come

Hello all. Not posted for quite some time now, but still look every now and then.
Thought i would just give you all an update of my situation and hopefuly some inspiration. All is never lost, positive attitude and never be too proud to ask for help.
As you can see from my signature I was in dire straights, with nearly £40,000 in debt:embarasse. Mostly my own fault and not proud. It got to the stage where something needed to be done so i approached a company to help. They suggested a DMP which was good at first but would take years to pay off. A little later we were advised to go for an IVA. Daunting and very scary but we went ahead and it was all ok and it went through. If i'd known about CCCS at the time i would have used them, but hey ho, that's in the past.
Well now it is two years on and so far it is going well and the debt is reducing. I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel, albeit very dim:D but it is there all the same. Starting from £38100, it is now down to £23495, so i've paid £14,605 towards being debt free:j . The beginning of year three is about to start, almost halfway there. It is such a relief as most of you will be able to relate to.
I just hope that my situation and the journey i've made is some sort of inspiration to others that it will get better with time. As i said earlier, all is not lost, there are ways and means, even if they are clouded.
An IVA is not for every one i know, but for us it is a relief and the way forward to the good times again.;)
Good luck to you all in whatever circumstances you may find yourselves in.
