Hi all,
Its not really me thats had the break through but OH.
He is a bit rubbish with money (but then so am since im on here, lol) and takes quite a flippant attitude as we are able to meet minimum payments and over pay etc he doesnt think that just because we can manage now that we might not be able to manage next week.
Well, we both have our own money and when thats gone we normally help each other out with any extra cash that we have.
Since February ive been putting all of my extra cash into savings (that he cant see) to let me do a lump sum later in the year.
Tonight we were saying we are both nearly out of cash (ive got £30 in the bank and he has £15 in his wallet with nothing in the bank)
His breakthrough came when he jokingly said he was going to rob the bank for an extra £100 to see us through (basically so that he can go drinking)
The he says ..... you ready .......
"well, its my own fault really  I overspent when i went out on friday  i will just have to live with it" :T
I am soooooo pleased, i think he is starting to get what ive been [STRIKE]moaning[/STRIKE] saying about for the past few months, we have to start budgeting and getting on with paying off our debts now or we will never have a house of our own.
I did try and push him and said why didnt he list his broken phone on ebay on a one day listing to get some cash for next week, but that was a bit too far and is too much effort for him, :rotfl:
Sorry - ive waffled as usual - anyone else had a breakthrough moment like this with OH??????????
