Capquest don't want a full & Final

They will only accept the full amont which they arn't getting as its not my F***ing debt and I'm sick to death of it. DH will never be able to pay it off and I've already got a standing order for £3 a month but surely the admin alone eats up most of that.
Should I just stop paying and see if they become any more helpful as I'm past caring, the worst they can do is bankrupt DH which screws themselves anyway.

Sorryy BH - don't know the history. Whose name is the debt in? Sorry, but I assume you are still with DH ? Do yuo have any other joint loans/accounts?

Only joint debt is the loan which ends this month, all debt apart from my barclaycard £,1,700 is in his name alone.

How much is it? What sort of debt was it for? When was it taken out?

Its an old credit card debt from egg, it was taken out around 2000, the original debt was £1,500 and its now £1,034 . Egg said they were happy to take £500 but capquest refused have offered to go to £700 but no luck. I'm just annoyed as they arn't acting in anyones best interests including Eggs.

Well, I would be inclined to CCA them then.

Not so much in the hope of not having to pay it, but it can be a very good way of making people like CrapQuest more "amenable" to a F&FS.;)

Only costs £1 and a letter to try.

I wouldn't expect any less.;)

A CCA request is something that you have a legal right to make on a debt that is covered, and the consequences regarding legal enforcement by the creditor if they don't have/supply the correct paperwork are clear.

It's just a tool in the end. How you choose to use it is up to you.
