I wanna new washing machine

Mine (Indesit) has been repaired 3 times now, and it has stopped working again. I just want a new one. It does get a lot of use, I do at least 14 washes a week. Often more during the football season! I don't want anything fancy, just a hard worker. Anyone know of any good deals around? I am just about to drag the kids round comet and currys to get an idea of what I want (dh has just gone football training - more washing!)

After having a look, there are a lot of different spin speeds, obviously a 1600 would leave the clothes drier than a 1000. Also you can get different load sizes. Those I looked at varied between 5kg and 7.5kg.
I have been looking at a Beko WMA765S. 1600 spin speed, 7kg load, AAA rated, it has a quick wash. £299 at currys.
Online using vouchers from here, free delivery, £25 off the order, 1.5% cashback from Currys and 0.5% casback from my credit card. Trouble is, it will take over a week to deliver. Anyone got any better offers?Quidco cashback paid out so far £745.89 :j0 -
Do you have any clearence centers near you? Or look into the comet clearence auctions they do washing machines.
Not sure what makes are the best now, i had a zanussi and it lasted about 5 years with heavy use and now in 3rd year of my whirlpool 6th sence 1450 spin and has a great 30 min 30 degrees wash and wash timer so you know how long each cycle lasts (handy) or theres the bosch which my mother in law recomends too but i think they are a bit dearer. The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
Well, after thinking about it overnight and having a look at other machines, I decided to go for the beko. Only to find out they have now sold out! Back to the drawing board.Quidco cashback paid out so far £745.89 :j0

The Bosch is a really good machine. Very strongly built, efficient and the quietest machine I've owned. Have owned this machine about 3/4 years now, with no problems.

I did a lot of virtual shopping a couple of years ago when I needed a new washing machine and dishwasher and found the best deals at www.appliance-world.co.uk .
Don't know whether they still are the best source, you need to spend a little time on the web to do comparisons. I would think, though, that you get a better deal online than in a high street store or shopping centre.
I am very happy with the Miele dishwasher and the Neff washing machine I bought from https://www.appliance-world.co.uk - a) they are super machines, b) the delivery was next day, and c) they had a free 5-year extended warranty going at the time I ordered. Mind you, and x fingers, I haven't needed any service on the machines yet.
If you do a lot of washing, it's worth going for a brand renowned for reliability. Which? do brand reliability reports, but I don't subscribe to them any longer, so don't know the most current score. It used to be that the cheaper brands were less reliable. Ask around your friends whether any of them subscribe to Which? - or sign up for 30 days trial with Which? Online (just don't forget to cancel, unless you want to pay regular subscriptions)0
