First Direct is not the same company, although they are part of the same group.
I suggest you write a complaint initially to the branch manager who can then forward it on to the regulated sales complaints team. No point writing to the Chief Executive unless you want to delay the response.

Thanks the ball has started rolling for us time is not the issue its the end result that matters.

One suggestion I had was the write to the complaints team & cc the cheif exec.

Not sure what change I will get out of the Branch Manager because the advisors boss was in the meeting "allegedly" assessing her performance at the time. So I smelt a rat straight away.

Andy once I have completed my letter could I run it past your good self for your honest opinion ?

Yep absolutely. Remember to keep it in a format that's something like

    1) What happened (stick to what's relevant)
    2) Why you're not happy with it (specifically)
    3) What you want done about it (ie specifically what will it take for you to feel the complaint is resolved)

    Cheers

    Thanks for all your help.

We did not get the previous rate but got a letter from HSBC offering us a refund on the fee we were charged which takes it to amount it was after our first meeting & £50 compensation.

I am happy with that so job done.
