Mozart’s two-act opera masterpiece, The Magic Flute, has been spectacularly adapted by director Kenneth Branagh and his librettist Stephen Fry. The strange, magical story is set against the backdrop of the First World War and the singers mime to their own studio recording, allowing them the freedom to concentrate on the drama of the story and produce a pleasingly natural acting style.
