DD3's school is old style!

Just been chatting with dd3 whilst putting her to bed and she has told me that when they get stung they have vinegar put on them! I can remember my mum running me up the road to a neighbour after I got stung by a bee when I was about dd3's age, 7, totally naked as I'd been in the paddling pool and she'd whipped my swimmers off to have a look at the sting! :rotfl:
It just really made me smile to hear that it still happens! Still the dinner ladies are the same ones that were there 40 years ago, so I guess they know a thing or two about old style remedies
Does anyone else's children attend old style schools?

I was always told ...vinegar for wasps and bicarb for bees.0

Are they sure that's OK for Health & Safety, insurance, etc.? Anaphylactic shock and all that. Probably requires a 999 call for a peanut-free ambulance, etc.The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0

:rotfl: That's exactly what I thought as she was telling me! Still it's really nice to know that common sense rules sometimes! OH still goes on about just having the option of witch hazel or nothing if they ever hurt themselves at school, his must've been posher than mine, cos we were just told to be more careful
dd3 does go to a tiny village school though, 73 children last time they counted! Perhaps that makes a difference?GC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
