looking for a child's table and chairs. Help please?

I want to buy a cheap plastic table and chairs for my toddler to draw at, or eat at etc. So far the cheapest I've seen is at ToysRus at £24.99, but I'm sure they can be bought cheaper.
Any ideas?
I've also looked at Mothercare and ELC, but they're quite pricey.

Many thanks.
Named after my cat, picture coming shortly

well its not plastic but we bought a wood table with two chairs with a melamine surface. we bought two from ikea only £12.49 each, bargain if you asked me, I even bought some perspex and mounted this on the table surface and put some of the kids drawings underneath so its there own personalized table.

for that sort of money you cant go wrong.

  • How about IKEA? They have a wooden table and chair set at £12.49 or plastic chairs starting at £2.49. We got the wooden ones a few years back, painted them, and they have been in constant use ever since.

Where are you I have two lime green elc chairs that I don't want. Free to a good home. Bit dusty been in the loft. Have got masses of stuff down with the intentions of doing a car boot, totally overwhelmed by the amount of toys we have. Just taken four large black bags full of clothes to the salvation army. Had really wanted to send them to Rumania but was unable to find anywhere that takes them.

    I am in Northampton.

They are the plastic toddler ones by the way.
    £2.00 Savers Club = £34.00 So Far

+ however may £2 coins I have saved in my Terramundi since 2000.

  • Why don't you go to a car boot sale, we buy all our things like this from car boots and save a fortune, then when you don't need it any more you can either do a car boot yourselves or sell them on ebay, we do this all the time and usually end up making a profit.

At our local car boot last weekend I saw table and chairs for £4, the red plastic set that is in toysrus for 24.99

Might be worth checking your local large Woolworths.

They have a 50% off sale at the moment which includes outdoor children's furniture. SWMBO phoned me at lunchtime to say she'd picked up a kiddies swing sofa for half price (£20), and asked if we needed a bench or kids table and chairs.

    YMMV - Rufus.
