Hi and welcome- you're in the right place! I had pretty much the same amount of debt as you when I first joined here. I second the suggestion about childcare vouchers- they make a big difference to our budget as my husband and I both have them.Debt at highest May 2006: £27,472.24
currently: £13,353.25DFW Nerd 178Proud to be dealing with my debts0 -

Hi there
I have checked and double-checked your figures and I can't get them to agree with your sig. From the figures you gave in your first post, it seems you haven't included the natwest loan of £12,000 in your total. I may have got this wrong and if I have, I'm sorry. I just wanted to make sure that you are working with the correct figures.
Good luck with getting things sorted and congratulations on the unexpected payrise! Take the advice offered, these wonderful people know exactly what they are talking about. :A"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

no not included as can't make overpayments, so just taking payments into normal budget then splitting the remaining between everyone else, thought this made sense as can't really do anything about them0
-
also, just wondered, would i be better off paying the debts where i've got a default first even if they agree to 0% interest???
would this make my credit rating better faster or not?
have rebudgeted and can now pay £700 a month so using snowball and doing it that way, but the one with tesco which is defaulted is further down the list as i put it down at 0% in hope.0 -
ok, so can make a payment to loans but only to pay off everything but 1p, then will be charged interest on that i think0
