TCP smell

Hi. Does anyone know how I can get the smell of TCP out of a pair of jeans? I've washed them four times at 60 degrees and daren't do them any hotter incase they shrink. The smell was really strong as a full bottle had broken all over them and they were left like that for a few days so it really dried in.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as they're a new pair and I'd hate to have to end up chucking them out.

You could try soaking them in a bicarb of soda solution?May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0

Hi - you could also try alcohol. It gets rid of all sorts of smells - even spilt milk, sick, etc. Any spirit would probably do; I just use Vodka because we have a bottle of the stuff but don't like it as a drink.KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Only think I've found is hang them in the sunshine and let the air through, it fades eventually.I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Trying washing in Ariel. It has a strong odour and may be worth a try.

Try 'Simple Solution' from a good pet shop (I got ours from Pets at Home).
I bought some when we got our puppy. If it works on urine, vomit and poop then I am sure it should work on TCP.
I got quite a large bottle, 32 fl oz but you can get smaller ones, think I paid about £5.

Also try washing on a cool wash cycle as heat tends to keep in the smell I find. Then add vinegar to the rinse cycle. Just keep drying outside in the air, I am sure it will eventually go.0

Thanks everyone for your replies. I'm going to try soaking them in a bicarb solution then put them on a cool wash with vinegar in the final rinse. I'll try all this first as these are products I've got to hand. I'll let you know how I get on. Thanks again.0
