Just bought a sony dvd with 160gb hd advertised in curry's and the sony shop at £275 on line at £188 curry's shop sold it to me for £187.50 when I told them of the online price no problem.

That's a strange amount to pay
Their policy is to match the price, then reduce it by 10% off the difference, i.e in this case the difference being £87, thus they should have matched £188 then reduced 10% of the difference = £8.70, so £188 - £8.70 = £179.30
Edit: Sorry, i think i'm reading it wrong - i thought Currys were charging £275, and the Sony Shop £188 - thus price matching the Sony Shop.0
