Bessy's Keep ME SANE Diary !!!

Last week i had a lightbulb moment although i've had these before (quite a few actually) but this one was blinding  I've already posted about that, bl**dy online bingo  Have decided the best course of action for me is a diary!

Anyway this is me; I am a DFW on a DMP with payplan and have become addicted to O/S board, pah who needs bingo! I am 41, i have 2 children DS is 6 and DD is 5 and have been with OH for 8 long years! I work part time for my brother in a good old fashioned chippy! My oh works nights. Will also probably mention my SiL (also best bud and budget buddy!) alot she is my brick, also may mention a mum from school, both are excellent budgeters and bargain hunters:D.

Last week when i posted i had just about had enough of everything and was a jibbering wreck, but after posting i have pulled my finger out and am now getting things sorted, instesd of being a gunna i am now a dunnit :D:p I think for most of the last 6yrs i have just bungled along even though i joined this site! So now enough is enough I WILL AND AM getting things done.

I have done, as suggested on previous post by someone, some lists.

My lists so far,

Good things to happen in 2008 ~ stopped drinking myself to sleep, i now just have a small quantity at the weekend. Go to bed early between 9.30pm and 10pm. Get up earlier 6.30am, so i can do spellings etc with kids before school. Stopped buying kids after school treats thus saving money and the kids teeth :D Have not been on bingo for a week now, o/s board instead:j
car had mot which only cost £37 :j , not gone o/d at bank, been to docs to sort out hormones, am pre menopausal, v moody, emotional etc, at moment, had blood tests waiting for results, i neeeeeed HRT! Stopped having baths now use shower, saving gas and water? Am teaching kids and oh to turn lights OFF!!!! Big one ~ banned Horrid Henry  Resulting in dramatic change in ds's behaviour!
Will add to this as i progress!

Things i have to do or sort out ~ house, it looks like a bomb site, loads of decorating to do, ds still ahs thomas tank eng on walls although oh stared to take this off, he stopped half way thru! Ds's room she decided to draw on walls!! Our room not been done since we moved here 6yrs ago! Hall started that 3yrs ago asked oh to do the bits i couldn't reach (being verticallly challenged and him being 6ft 4!!!!) well he didin't so i thought why should i bother either!!!:mad: Garden. Money budget on spreadsheet, if i can figure them out! Food budget, same! Doing more at w/end with kids. And the really really big one;

STOP SMOKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It does sound like a lot i know but i am going to take it one step at a time, after all i am changing my and my families whole way of life. We are jumping off the got to have and i need, keep up with the jones train and doing things the m/s, o/s way yippppeeeeeeeee:j

There will probably be alot of grumbling, and hopefully amusing parts as i am quite dippy, no not blond more brunette and grey! The new us starts here, any input is welcome feel free!!

Off to do ironing grumble grumble!

hello bessy - thought I'd say hi! do you want to post an soa so the good people on here can have a look and hopefully save you more money??

Well done on the drinking and going to bed early - I need to start doing both. (not start drinking lol - you know what I mean!) I went to bed at 11pm last night instead of the usual 12 and I felt much better for it this morning.

I know what you mean re houses - we've just had a redecorate and a big big clean up operation and tbh it feels much much better. Set yourself a goal of a room a week - once you've done one room it'll motivate you onto the next.

    Good luck

    Thanks everyone,

Done half the ironing so i'm having a break He he, was putting some stuff away in pantry after posting went in with 2 slippers came out with 1 had to go back in to find it took 5mins!!!!!!! Adding pantry to things to sort list:rotfl:

Roxie am not posting soa as i did that ages ago ( and i am def not being funny pls don't think that) and its all sorted, problem is smoking and me spending!!! being on dmp a lot is their guide lines although their food and clothing budget i will be spending well under their recommendations so posted last night on dmp thread asking what to do with spare cash ppl said to have saving fund alot of them have done this( i haven't got one yet) for emergencies!! Hence no washer!!!! Also if i save enough and ebay and car boot i can send spare to payplan and they will share it out between creditors who they say will be greatful for extra money!!!!

Decorating will slow and steady oh b!**dy useless ~ can't drive, can't decorate, can't diy (1 hour to put hook on back of pantry door:rotfl: ), can't cook, can't iron, can't speak to people on phone:mad: , can't go to shop at night cos of teenage youths are intimidating so he sends me!!!!!!!!! He is good at some things (not that!) Sleeping, watching tv, reading ceefax and the new one playing virtual villagers on pc   and another:mad:

back to ironing, will prob check in before pick kids up then go to work!

    Thanks for all your support:D
