E4 on Sky 'Freeview'

Now E4 is on freeview does anyone know if it might become available to non-subsription sky users?

Apologies, I think this may have been discussed before but 'E4' and 'Sky' are apparently too short to search on.
I think....

It might but unlikely in the short to medium term. From the DigitalSpy forums:

"Both E4 and E4+1 are tied to a subscription contract with BskyB PLC until 2008.

If the owners of E4 and E4+1 (channel 4) chose to broadcast their satellite releases of those two services FTA, BskyB PLC would (quite rightly) drag them into court for breach of contract."

However a freeview box can be bought for around £30 (provided you are within reception area).
