Have any of you seen this model which is in the new Argos catalogue and is also in the Lakeland catalogue. It comes with the liquidiser and food processor attachments, which is all I would ever need I think, and it takes up a bit less room on the counter than the normal chef. Has anyone got one? Any thoughts about whether this is a good buy or should I go for a bigger chef?

Hi nell
I've just bought one of these this morning, to replace my terminally ill Kenwood A901 (which I got from Freecycle a couple of years ago, so fair enough). So far, so good - feels more solid than I was expecting, no flimsy bendy plastic attachments, nice satisfying clunks when you lock and unlock the hinged top and change the tools.
Haven't actually switched it on yet, though! If you can wait, I'll do a full product report in a couple of days, and let you know how it compares to my 'normal' Kenwood.

I bought one of these before Christmas and returned it...I felt that it was not set to mix close enough to the bowl. My Mum always had a Kenwood and used it all the time for baking, but with this one I couldn't get the butter and sugar creamed properly without manually mixing it to the middle of the bowl. It might have been just a dud one I had, but I was very disappointed.0

I have a Kenwood Chef and found the same problem if you use the K beater as recommended. I shifted to using the balloon whisk with soft marg/ butter - no problems - it mixes really well.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

On the Kenwood Chef there is a nut you can adjust to alter the position of the beater with respect to the bowl. I imagine this is the case on the other Kenwood food mixers - it might be worth a go?0

Has anyone any more information on this machine? We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0

Scroll down the PDF to page 5 'Troubleshooting' It has clear instructions and pictures.
But I'm not sure this will be the same on a Prospero model.*Make every day Caturday*0
