Any advice gratefuly received. how on earth am I going to raise the fee's for the BR? I am on maternity leave and am now only on maternity pay, I thought that by not paying the car and loan I would of had some spare money but that just seems to get swallowed up. I suffer from PND and this is making me have panic attacks and am dreading tomorrow when Welcome get on the phone and start harrasing me to pay them. Just wanna fall into a hole as cannot see how on earth I can raise the fee's so any ideas would be gratefully receieved.

Hi JoJo.
It can be hard to find the fees, and its a question thats asked frequently on here.
You can try the following, but i've yet to hear of anyone whos been successful (though if i'm wrong on that then please correct me;) )

Eos Foundation

United Utilities Trust Fund

Joblinks
An online searchable database of charities and benevolent funds able to help people in need

The list above is not meant to be exhaustive and represents the infomation found so far. There may be other trusts that can also help, please add details of any other organizations to this list.
If you are a member of a union it may be possible for them to offer assistance through their own welfare schemes.
Also, tomorrow, ignore the phone if its going to cause you so much distress. Send them a letter saying all communication is to be in writing only. Change your phone number.
Good luck and hope that helps x:D
Edit: i know a lot of the above say help for paying water/sewerage bills, but they also used to help with Br fees. Just with so many people going Br they seem to ahve narrowed it down. The first time we said hello, was the first time we said goodbye. As the angels took your tiny hand and flew you to the sky-you forever left us breathless. RIP my beautiful granddaughter

Hi jojopo000
Firstly, regarding Welcome Finance, try sending them this letter telling them they MUST put all communications in writing and not contact you by telephone:
Date
Your name
Your address
Dear
I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the telephone calls that I have received from your company.
I am now formally requesting that all further correspondence be made in writing only.
I demand that these phone calls stop immediately. I am familiar with the terms of Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970, and the Protection from Harassment Act 1970 and I believe your harassment places you in breach of these acts.
If you continue to call, you will also be in breach of the Wireless Telegraphy Act (1949) and, as such, I will report you to both Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading.
Take further note that continued telephone calls after the receipt of a request not to call may constitute a criminal offence under Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003.
You will be deemed to have been served notice of my request and I will deem it served by (FULL DATE), I am advising you that any calls received after this date will be recorded with the intention of them being used as evidence.
Yours faithfully,
I sent the above letter to Lloyds who were calling me up to 10 times a day and not only did the calls stop, they also sent me a letter apologising for the distress caused
Regarding raising the fees - when are you planning to go BR? Have you stopped paying all your creditors? Have you taken professional advice from CCCS or CAB or one of the other free debt charities? Is your H going BR too? Do you own your own home? Sorry for the barage of questions
Don't worry, you will get loads of advice and help on here

Another point about the fees - some people take the cash from their CCs or overdrafts just before they go BR and the OR generally turns a blind eye to this if it's the only way you could raise the money

Thanks for the replies, cannomt apply for the BG one as doesnt include credit cards etc so would say a no no to help with BR and I dont owe them money.
Cannot use EDF as I work for them.
And I do not have credit cards or a overdraft, just have basic banking with nationwide.
I have nothing of value to sell so looks like i might be stuck like this for a long while.Wins This Year - 2/1 Dog coat.

I have written to Welcome before as unfortunately have a loan and my car with them and they always say they have never recieved the letters, even though i had hand delivered them.
I have taken advice from CCCS and they have advised this is the best course possible due to my low wage etc.
H isnt going BR and he has no income at all as when I am working he looks after the kids as with my PND I cannot leave the kids with anyone, so he stays at home and looks after them but he claims no benefit as is our decision and a whole wage would end up paying the fee's. Apprantly loads of families are doing this now-a-days.
I have stopped paying those that i was paying as of this month but that has now been swallowed up as the kids needed stuff ie clothes, haircuts etc and we needed to do a big food shop.
We rent a house privately and get help from Housing Benefit with that.
Sorry if i sound off, but the whole situation is really getting to me, H has had to take the kids upstairs to play as i look so low.
We dont lead a luxury life and at times have had only £20 to spend on food shopping for a week between what was then 4 of us. I cannot remember the last holiday we had or day out for that matter.
Sorry to whittle on and please feel free to fire away the questions and i will try to answer them as best as possinle as am gratefull for any help.Wins This Year - 2/1 Dog coat.

Unfortunately the LA trip cannot be sold on, due to the terms and conditions of the prize.I am trying to sell the champers on (as hardly drink) but no one wants to buy it.
Comping is the only way I can get stuff I could only ever dream of affording for us,Wins This Year - 2/1 Dog coat.

What a shame about the trip.

What about tax credits? Are you getting everything you're entitled to? Check here: www.entitledto.com to make sure

Also, you might be eligable to not have to pay the court fee, only (I know, "only") the OR fee of £335.00. Tigerfeet posted some links about this on another thread earlier on, hang on and I'll c&p them here for you
