Help! Dye run in washing machine

Ooops! I put some cream.white pillowcases in the wash with the dark blue under sheet and now they're a quite nice shade of pale blue - except I want them cream again! The trouble is they have a blue and brown thread pattern through them and I don't want to take the colour out of the thread. What can I do??!!!!!!!

Thanks :o

Try re-washing them, but don't let them dry before you get chance to re-wash.

Thanks have just put them back in! I've never done that before I'm usually overly careful!

If it doesn't wash straight out, then you may need to try soaking overnight, maybe in some dissolved soda crystals and a bit of soap powder.
If all else fails, some very diluted bleach should do the trick, I know there is a coloured thread, but I bleach my whites wash even when it has my bedding in it that has little embroidered circles in pastel colours.

Thanks. It didn't come out so I'll be soaking it overnight!

There are some colour run things you can buy, made by GloCare (well the ones in my cupboard are) They are ok for whites and coloureds as they contain no bleach. I picked up a pack from my local poundland 2 sachets in box.
So if all else fails you could try these, supermarkets sell them also.
