E: 31/03 (DAILY) Word Ladder Challenge - Win £10 (freebirthdatelottery.com)
https://www.freebirthdatelottery.com/march-2026-word-ladder-challenge/
Every day you will be given a starting word and a target word, and your challenge is to reach the target by changing one letter at a time. Each intermediate word must be a valid word, and you have two attempts to complete the ladder. Some ladders will be easy to climb, while others may really test your word skills. A brand new word puzzle awaits you daily.
All you need to do is transform the start word into the end word, one letter at a time. Any ladder that starts with the given word, ends with the target word, and uses only valid words at each step will be accepted, even if it’s different from the example. If you reach the target word correctly, you will earn 2 entries into the prize draw. Even if your attempts do not reach the target, you will still receive 1 entry just for taking part.

You can submit the two words either with or without a comma. You can even submit all four, as long as your two words are included in the answer that is fine! Good Luck, Daniel.

Answer DOVE DIVE HIVE
assume you don't need to do two changes

If one intermediate word is acceptable then HOVE is also a correct solution.
If they want two intermediate words then FIVE, GIVE, JIVE, LIVE can all go between DIVE and HIVE.
I suspect two intermediate words is the maximum allowed, so they probably wouldn't accept this solution with ten intermediate words: DOVE, ROVE, WOVE, COVE, MOVE, LOVE, LIVE, DIVE, FIVE, GIVE, JIVE, HIVE.
