Just a small comment. Paycheck is an American word. In English it should be pay cheque, 2 words. I don't know the context of the answer but the judges might be pedantic enough to discount the answer as one word??

Hi, Kthecat
The puzzle is a crossword
This is from the magazine
'How to enter'
Solve the puzzle as usual. Then, from the top, list the letters in the yellow squares to spell out a prize word. Write this word on the entry coupon and enter online, by phone, post or text. The above only mentions 'a prize word' so I assume Paycheque as one word would be what they are after.
Good luck
