PayPal - how do I add buyer protection as the BUYER?

Hi. As heading. Doing this right now - wishing to send a payment for an item being bought of Marketplace. I wish to include buyer protection (me), but add that on myself rather than the seller.
I'm halfway through the process, but PP is indicating the seller pays for this? How can I change that?
Ta.

Edit: I just added some extra to cover the ~3% PP charges.

My understanding is that it isn't optional. You can't add it because it will always be added (by Ebay) anyway. It is already included in the price that you are paying (via PayPal).

    Thanks.
Yes, if you choose 'goods and services', then it's added - I understand 2.9% + 30p. Since the private seller on Fb Marketplace was doing me a favour by agreeing to post the item to me, I didn't want him penalised, and couldn't find the option for me to get invoiced for it, so I just added enough to cover it.
Bonkers. Why shouldn't the buyer have the option to cover this charge?
    Anyhoo, hopefully sorted.

The seller has the option to increase their price to cover the fees.
