Managed migration from ESA to UC.. what they didn't tell us.

so when you migrate from ESA to UC if your UC entitlement is less than your ESA amount at the time of migration you will get the transitional element to bring your total UC payment to the same as your previous ESA amount so you are not worse off on UC, but if you hadn't been made to migrate from ESA or if a claimant doesn't get the transitional element in their UC, then they would be better off when the yearly benefit increases, but it gets deducted from the transitional element, that seems very unfair and very crafty. If the only increases in your future income are  going to come from annual benefit increases and your UC transitional element is £200 or £300 a month it will be years before you eventually start to benefit from the annual increases which means you will be significantly worse off than if you had been allowed to continue on ESA. By failing to make this clear, or should I say, by failing to mention it at all is misleading at best and dishonest, by omission at worst. It doesn't just 'feel' unfair, it is unfair, are the government going to address this discrepancy?
