How safe are ETFs

Watching this video made me panic a bit! (see below)

Yes panic; when he says that there is a paper trail of who owns the comoditys that you own title to.
Basiclly what he is saying is that the paper trail goes from the ticker of the comodity which has the following owners to.

1. The trust (apoints a)
2. Trustee (hires a)
3. Custodian (HSBC) (hires a)
4. Storage facility (and is in London; Hatton Gardens I ask???)

Now they are saying that the trust may not have the financial resorts sufficient to satify the trust claim. Example; the only source of recovery for the trust might be limited to the custodian (HSBC). As currently it is the custodian holding all of the trust gold. And that the custodian (HSBC) may not have the financial resorts to satisfy a valid claim to the trust

So if one of the above dose a runner up the mountains then what next?
Or even so; If they bough do a runner up the other side or indeed other and differant mountains then what next of the trust?

I mean in hindsight of course! HSBC went under and broke and bust, 1929 style, but (at least!) 10 times over the debit collateral now compered to then!

I mean the host of the video is using exhibits after exhibits of this company committing crimes agains theft and fraud of the common man to say the least

Its a good job I dont have a bank account any more and now running it all though cash and cash cards. Time to start digging a hole I think! What do you think?
Thanks for reading and enjoy the vid

I'm impressed that you've almost reached your 8 month anniversary.
I would suggest that if you don't trust financial institutions enough to hold a bank account, then digging a hole is your best option.
