Within MSE's 'Top cards for travelling abroad' guide, we can check if our card charges foreign transaction fees.
Selecting 'Santander' gives the following warning: ! Beware using this card overseas.
The resulting table highlights a field showing there is NO spending charge. Is the warning a mistake?

Could it be to do with Santander charging interest for ATM withdrawals until repaid?0

Sometimes they're not always completely accurate. I used mine abroad last year and all fine. (I used starling debit if I need to withdraw cash.)0
