Had the old batteries been completely flat for some time?Stubod said:Hi all, probably a long shoy, but as per title. After about 4 years of use I have just replaced the batteries in my Quantum Dimplex storage heater control units.I assumed these were needed to maintain the basic settings, (eg time and date, and power settings). However after replacing the batteries with brand new ones, when I tested them by turning the main switch "off" and then back on, I had to re-set the date and time???....(NB I have tried to contact Dimplex to see if they can help)....
Often on heater controls they only remember the settings for a few minutes to give you time to change the batteries, but that assumes you change them when it is indicating low battery well before they are completely exhausted.1 -
