I wonder what the OP does for a living ....

    Why ? a strange question..
I suspect they are going to point to the fact you get paid so the person that created the website should be paid too.

I have a shed load of old photos that I am trying to recover....
Black and White / creased etc
I found one site (https://unblurimage.ai/old-photo-restoration/) that works brilliantly - when you select PRO - it uses AI to produce incredible images.
    There's no logon needed.

The downside is that you are limited to 5 per day - unless there is some way to bypass this limiter ?
Its not cookies (cleared them) - what else could the site leave on my laptop by way of "tracking"
It's 6 per day unless you pay for credits... depending on how many photos you need varies if its cheaper to just buy a block of them or do a subscription.

    Pay ?
    no way
then 6 a day it is... people need to earn a living

Except that today - I am unable to continue - the counter has not reset !

Presumably you've considered timezone differences and it is a different day where they are in the world not just for you?

You will have to pay, they have obviously banned your ip address
They could well be identifying users by IP address. I doubt the OP has Static OP, so it might well be that IP has used up it's free credits for the day or, as you say they are banned .

I will try changing my IP address and try again

    How will you do that?

By turning off the router and leaving it for 10 minutes, turn back on again and you will pick up a new IP address.

And yes - it did make a difference and gave me another 2 attempts to change the jpg before blocking me again !

And this morning - I changed my IP address again and got zero free goes - so it's not set by IP address !

What happens if someone who had the IP address before you used up the daily allocation before you had a chance?

It's doing something to crudely limit uses. I'd get a VPN and try various locations from around the world (same problem applies though, someone who had the IP address before, or even someone sharing the IP address could have used the daily allocation before you had a chance). Yes, IP addresses can be shared too (for example everyone in my place of work [multiple offices] goes outbound with the same IP)

Considering how many you want to do and how much you want them done just how much is the cost?
I had one done at our local photo shop and it was expensive and I had to wait weeks because of the amount of work she had lined up.

A limit per day is not such a bad thing. It stops you loosing your life to days of scanning etc because it can be absorbing.

Hmmmm went to the site and it offered me 3.
Clicked on the terms and conditions and it took me to my photos.
Tried again and went to my photos.
I wouldn't use a site that won't let me read the T&C's or privacy. What's it got to hide? Also in dollars but which country?

But thanks for the alert to the possibility of such a tool. I'll look around.
