All those who are saying do nothing - are they going to indemnify anyone who ends up paying tax on an extra £156k if Reeves does cut to 100k?

Personally I see it as being about the certain cost of taxation of capital growth/income outside of a tax wrapper vs the uncertain cost of a higher tax bill.  What premium are you willing to pay to derisk?
    I think....

The click bait headlines were wrong every other year.

I am thinking of taking my 25% of my four current pensions sooner rather than later.
If you crystallised half the total and the status quo is maintained you'll only be half right. How's your asset allocation if now and following a plan to cash some out?

This thread, as they all do, is either going nowhere or is going to get political and get deleted -

My humorous reference to 'thieves' Reeves has triggered disgraceful aggresion.

It did not come across as humorous at all. Lack of smilies I think, it can be challenging to pick up the humour of posts sometimes. If you meant as a joke then I am afraid it did not come across like that at all. People will at first assume you are perfectly serious in this case.

    Hi All,

What are the latest predictions on what the chancellor will do in the autumn budget?
Predictions by whom? The Daily Mail or normal people?

Suggest you pull all of your money out of all of your pensions - just in case.

But then again I don't know Jack about what's going to be in the budget, why would you want me telling you what to do?
Any predictions by authoritative sources would be appreciated. However they are PREDICTIONS and may not happen.
Rachel Reeves is the only authorities source that counts.

If you have the TV or radio on at lunchtime on 26 November you will no doubt get the answer you are after.
Exactly so. Perhaps until then we could avoid any more of these totally pointless threads?
    Sounds hopelessly optimistic to me...
