I am enrolled in the OU but they don’t provide unique emails. I have a TOTEM card but hoped to get unidays but they won’t accept my documentation. I need email verification. Could anyone be able to validate my application by lending me their email to do this. Nothing fraudulent. I am studying but don’t have an edu email.
The OU provides you with an educational email address, even if this is not what you use to log in to their systems. I'm studying with the OU and have no problem accessing Uni days, Student Beans etc.

I use Outlook to access my OU addressed email for verification purposes.

Not if you have signed up for one of their free courses.

Would be a field day if student discounts were suddenly available to pretty much everybody.

If you've signed up to a paid course / one that offers an email address your student email can be found under

Student Home > Profile > Contact Details.

I got a student email address a few years ago by signing up to a course which cost a couple of hundred pounds (not with the OU) I got more than the fee back in discounts.

I'm pretty sure the address is still working.

I was just hoping some kind person would allow me to use their email for verification as they don’t provide me with an email. I have Totem but they won’t use that for verification unfortunately

That would be unwise for the person doing it, and against the site rules as the emails are firstname.lastname@ou.ac.uk and sharing real names is against the rules.

If you've signed up to a course that doesn't offer a suitable address for these purposes then that's the deal

Apart from anything else, the person with the student email has probably signed up to these sites themselves, so the email address won't be available for a second person to "verify".

True, and I think the .ac.uk email address is needed on an ongoing basis by Unidays.

For one-off Unidays codes for specific products you might try beermoneyuk on Reddit.

You can have the account using your personal email but use the ac.uk just to verify the account

But if the address has already been used for verification, then I'd expect the sites will pick up on it.

I work for a uni and we would take a very dim view of a member of staff/student sharing their email address in this way, it would be against the ts and cs
