First time up in the loft and saw this has been removed!!! Surveyor completely missed this. There looks to have been a wall there that has been removed. The chimney woodwork is held up by bricks throughout the loft except this one.I'm getting a structural engineer round.

Your still obsessing... step away from the house. You have gone from knocking holes in walls to accusing others of knocking holes in walls... the walls of your house are fine, this has been confirmed by professionals so stop.5

My husband saw this in the loft and was worried. Here are some of the many issues:

Just sell the house; you're never going to be happy there.0

I love the house but just worried about the never ending issues we are finding0

A lot of what you are posting is things you should have seen when you were viewing the property, the surveyor has given you a report that there is noting major. Most of what you have posted is cosmetic and can be rectified either by DIY or by a professional at a cost but noting into the £0000s.
If you love the house then stop picking holes in it and look at what you need to do/want to do with the things you find.1 -

That’s unkind.
Anxiety is a very real issue that can lead to all sorts of overthinking and this is a classic example of how it can go. This could be my sibling posting because we have very similar conversations about his property.
So no, I don’t think it’s a wind up at all.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.2
